૧. ધોળાવીરા (Dholavira)
ધોળાવીરા અને લોથલ બન્ને સિંધુ સભ્યતાનાં અત્યંત મહત્વના અને પ્રખ્યાત નગરો હતાં. ધોળાવીરા ગુજરાત રાજ્યના કચ્છ જિલ્લાના ભચાઉ તાલુકામાં આવેલા 'ખદીર બેટ' માં સ્થિત છે. આ નગર તેની શ્રેષ્ઠ અને આદર્શ નગર રચના (Town Planning) માટે સમગ્ર વિશ્વમાં જાણીતું છે.
- હડપ્પીય સંસ્કૃતિના સમયમાં તે વેપાર અને વાણિજ્યનું એક મોટું કેન્દ્ર હતું.
- અહીંથી ઉત્ખનન દરમિયાન આજથી લગભગ ૫૦૦૦ વર્ષ પહેલાંના ઘરેણાં અને મણકા બનાવવાના કારખાના અને કેન્દ્રોના પુરાવા મળી આવ્યા છે.

લોથલ એ અમદાવાદ-ભાવનગર હાઈવે નજીક આવેલું એક સમૃદ્ધ અને પ્રાચીન પુરાતત્વીય સ્થળ છે. પ્રાચીન સમયમાં તે હડપ્પીયન સંસ્કૃતિનું એક અત્યંત વ્યસ્ત અને ધમધમતું આંતરરાષ્ટ્રીય બંદર (Port) હતું.
- તે સમયે લોથલ વેપાર-વાણિજ્યની અનેક સગવડો અને સુવિધાઓથી સજ્જ હતું.
- આ બંદર દ્વારા જળમાર્ગે દેશ-વિદેશ સાથે મોટા પાયે વેપાર થતો હતો, જે ગુજરાતના ભવ્ય સામુદ્રિક ઈતિહાસની સાક્ષી પૂરે છે.

2. Lothal
Lothal is a rich ancient archaeological site located near the Ahmedabad-Bhavnagar highway. In ancient times, it was a highly active and bustling ancient port city of the Harappan civilization.
- During that era, Lothal was well-equipped with various facilities and infrastructure for trade and commerce.
- It flourished with extensive maritime trade, serving as a gateway for international business and reflecting Gujarat's glorious maritime history.
