7. તાજમહેલ (Taj Mahal)
🕌 તાજમહેલ : ભારતની સ્થાપત્યકલાનો અદ્વિતીય વારસો
વિશ્વની સાત અજાયબીઓમાં સ્થાન ધરાવતો તાજમહેલ ભારતનું એક ગૌરવપૂર્ણ સ્મારક છે. તેની મુખ્ય વિશેષતાઓ નીચે મુજબ છે:
📍 ૧. સ્થાન અને નિર્માણ (Location & Construction): તાજમહેલ ઉત્તરપ્રદેશ રાજ્યના આગ્રામાં યમુના નદીના કિનારે આવેલો છે. તેનું નિર્માણ મુઘલ બાદશાહ શાહજહાંએ પોતાની બેગમ મુમતાજ મહલની યાદમાં કરાવ્યું હતું. ઈ.સ. 1630માં મુમતાજનું અવસાન થતાં ઈ.સ. 1631માં તાજમહેલના બાંધકામની શરૂઆત થઈ. 22 વર્ષ બાદ ઈ.સ. 1653માં તેનું નિર્માણ કાર્ય પૂર્ણ થયું.
📐 ૨. સ્થાપત્ય અને આકાર (Architecture): તાજમહેલનું નિર્માણ સંગેમરમરના ચબૂતરા ઉપર થયેલું છે. તે ઉત્તરથી દક્ષિણ દિશા તરફ લંબચોરસ આકારે વિસ્તરેલો છે. તાજમહેલનું પ્રવેશદ્વાર આકર્ષક છે અને તેની મધ્યમાં ઊંચો ઘુમ્મટ છે, તેમજ તેના ચાર ખૂણા પર નાના ઘુમ્મટ આવેલા છે.
⚰️ ૩. મુમતાજની કબર (The Grave): તાજમહેલની મધ્યમાં મુમતાજની કબર આવેલી છે. આ કબરની આજુબાજુ ખૂબ જ સુંદર કલાત્મક અષ્ટકોણીય જાળી જોવા મળે છે.
✍️ ૪. મહેરાબ પરની ઉક્તિ (Inscription): તાજમહેલની એક મહેરાબ (દીવાલ) પર સુંદર અક્ષરે એક વિધાન અંકિત થયેલું છે: "સ્વર્ગના બગીચામાં પવિત્ર દિલોનું સ્વાગત છે."
🛠️ ૫. શિલ્પીઓનું યોગદાન (Contribution of Sculptors): આ ભવ્ય ઈમારતના નિર્માણ કાર્યમાં ભારતના કુશળ શિલ્પીઓ ઉપરાંત ઈરાની, અરબી, તુર્કી અને યુરોપીય શિલ્પીઓને રોકવામાં આવ્યા હતા. શાહજહાંની અંતરેચ્છા મુમતાજ મહલનું નામ જગતભરમાં અમર કરવાની હતી.

🕌 The Taj Mahal : A Masterpiece of Indian Architecture
Included among the seven wonders of the world, the Taj Mahal is a proud monument of India. Its main features are as follows:
📍 1. Location & Construction: The Taj Mahal is located in Agra, Uttar Pradesh, on the banks of the river Yamuna. It was built by Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his beloved wife, Mumtaz Mahal. After Mumtaz passed away in 1630 AD, its construction began in 1631 AD. It was completed after 22 years in 1653 AD.
📐 2. Architecture: The Taj Mahal is constructed on a marble platform. It expands in a rectangular shape from north to south. It has an attractive entrance, a high dome in the center, and four smaller domes on its four corners.
⚰️ 3. The Grave: Mumtaz's grave is situated in the center of the Taj Mahal. It is surrounded by a highly beautiful and artistic octagonal lattice (Jaali).
✍️ 4. Inscription: A beautiful sentence is inscribed on one of its arches (Mehraab): "Welcome to the pure hearts in the garden of paradise."
🛠️ 5. Contribution of Sculptors: Besides expert Indian sculptors, Iranian, Arabian, Turkish, and European sculptors were also engaged in the construction of this grand building. It was Shah Jahan's deep desire to make Mumtaz Mahal's name immortal in the world.
